Finding Our Hearts - Week 3

We know you are feeling disconnected...

Our Fall workshop series, Finding Our Hearts, will introduce you to the ACT Matrix and PAX Tools. These hands-on workshops will teach you how to use a couple useful skills for creating more nurturing relationships, families, and communities. You’ll leave empowered with tools and inspired to learn more!

Each week we plan to visit a different community across Prince of Wales Island to offer these workshops live and in person. For those who are not able to join us live, there will be remote and recorded options available as well so everyone has the opportunity to participate. A craft will be available for kids (and kids at heart).

Week 3 Guiding Questions

  • What is the ideal morning routine? Use the ACT Matrix to make decisions!
  • What will we do to make our mornings more organized and fun? Create a PAX Vision!
  • Where do we want to be in 10 years? Start writing, and commit to finishing, your plan!

Our workshops are open to everyone, and are an opportunity to come together in a supportive learning environment as a community. As members of this community, we have seen the challenges you face and felt the pain you feel when your children struggle to learn. We are here to support you and your family on your homeschool journey!

This Collective was started for you, and needs your participation in order to grow. Our goal is to reach 108 families this year! Join #OurAO Homeschool Collective!

We are motivated to teach others about the ACT Matrix, Building Cooperative Communities, PAX Tools, Direct Instruction, and Precision Teaching. Our hope is that you’ll be inspired to join the collective and learn with us!

What you will learn

Families will be introduced to the ACT Matrix and experience using it to make decisions
Families will be introduced to PAX Vision and practice using it to establish expectations
Families will leave empowered with tools, inspired to learn more, and motivated to join!
